Essential Oils have been all the rave when it came to health and wellness last year. And of course, Dave and I were part of those people who researched about them, tried them, grew to love 'em and in the end made them a part of our daily lives straight after. I remember how my Facebook news feed was flooded with essential oil posts around 3 months after we started our own oil journey. There were posts of people diffusing essential oils (the most common), creating roller blends for different needs, taking them orally (weight loss being the most popular) and even simply inhaling them. So, what are essential oils? And how can a tiny drop really do anything?

Basically, essential oils are highly concentrated 
liquid extracted from resin, leaves, stems, bark, roots, flowers or other 
plant elements. This liquid is usually distilled in order to make a pure oil. 
If you are wondering just how concentrated an essential oil is, it 
has been estimated that it takes around 3,000 lemons to make 2 pounds of
 lemon essential oil. Now, that is a whole lot of lemons! For just 2 pounds of oil?!<br />

How essential oils helped my family</h4>
Dave and I actually stumbled upon essential oils in a documentary about fighting cancer using natural alternatives as opposed to the usual radiation route doctors popularly recommend. After that, we each did our own research on essential oils and later on decided to try them out ourselves. They helped us tremendously with our kids, in calming them down when they start acting up, boosting their immune system and for them to sleep better at night.<br />

We only have limited choices when it comes to essential oils we can use around the kids, so Dave takes the rest with him at work. He diffuses in the car, uses the Stress Away as a roll on and inhales the RC and Purification blends in the office which helps him work better. I love the fact that I can get rid of mosquitoes by making a certain blend and simply diffusing it. I'd like to ask all of you to kindly keep an open mind about "questioning vaccines," what's in them, how they affect an individual's body once injected, were there enough safety studies conducted to make sure that they are indeed safe and how much do doctors who give them really know about what they're injecting into their patients. In my personal experience, the pediatricians we've been to who administer shots don't know much about vaccines at all. So, how does one go about in becoming educated about vaccines? Well, there's the internet, you can search the CDC website about each vaccine they approve of, this includes the ingredients and side effects. Based on common sense and the results we're seeing I'd say that western medicine has taken the turn for the worse while claiming the exact opposite.</div>

<span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}"><span class="UFICommentBody _1n4g">10 pcs large sized sweet potatoes (orange/purple)<br />6 quail eggs (for babies 1 year and older)<br />4 tbsp unsalted Butter </span></span><span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}"><span class="UFICommentBody _1n4g"><span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}"><span class="UFICommentBody _1n4g">(for babies 1 year and older)</span></span></span></span><br />
Salt<br />
Turmeric powder<br />
Black Pepper<br />
Water <span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}"><span class="UFICommentBody _1n4g"><span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}"><span class="UFICommentBody _1n4g"><br /><br /><b>Note:</b> You can substitute homemade Chicken Stock instead of Butter and Water for babies 1 year and older</span></span><br /><br /><b>Instructions:</b><br />Peel sweet potatoes and cut them into cubes<br />Put them in a pot<br />Add 3-5 pinches of salt, turmeric powder and black pepper<br />Add water - just enough to cover the sweet potatoes half way<br />Turn on the stove<br />Bring it up to a boil then put on low and simmer until soft<br />Set aside<br /><br />Take the quail eggs out of the shell and place them in a bowl<br />Heat up 1/2 cup of water in a small pot<br />Add the quail eggs and turn off the heat, mix<br />Pour into the pot of sweet potatoes<br />Use a hand blender to turn it into mash directly in the pot <br />Add the butter and more water/stock until you get the right consistency</span></span> <br />

 sweet potato puree is a sure winner when it comes to our kids, even 
adults like me enjoy it as a side dish. By the way, sweet potato is rich
 in Vitamin C & E, a great source of Manganese & Beta-Carotene 
and has a high fiber content. The addition of quail eggs provides a lot 
of protein for babies a year older and above. Try it and see if your 
baby likes it as much as ours does. <br />
