Onion juice is a great natural expectorant, this makes it pretty effective for treating respiratory problems. In addition to this, its sulfur and flavonoid compounds make it good for diabetes, arthritis, heart conditions, and bad cholesterol levels.

Amazing Health Uses for Onions

<li>Flu which includes High Fever Slice an onion then, rub the 
bottom of your feet with coconut oil and apply a thin onion slice into 
the arch of each foot. Wrap the foot and cover with sock. Let it work 
overnight to draw out toxins from your body. Dave has tried this a couple of times, works like a charm. </li>
<li>Coughs Peel
 an onion and cut it in half. Put a tablespoon of brown sugar over 
each half and cover them for an hour. Take this relish twice daily to 
alleviate the cough. </li>
<li>Air Purifier Put slided onions around the house to purify the air of bacteria and viruses. </li>
<li>Vomiting First, grate an onion and press with a cheesecloth to get the juice out or use a juicer if you have one. Then, brew a mint tea and allow it to cool. Drink two teaspoons of the onion juice and wait five minutes. Do the same with mint tea and then repeat the procedure until the symptoms go away. </li>
<li>Treat Ear Infection Chop an onion, put it into a thin 
sock or any cloth and tie it closed. Then, put the sock over the affected area, 
covering the head/ear/sock with a hat. Remove when the pain subsides.  </li>
<li>Breakup Chest Congestion Crush an onion and combine it with coconut oil to create a paste. Coat the chest with the paste and cover it with a dish towel. </li>
<li>Treat Colic Dice and boil a yellow onion, allow it to cool, and then drain. Give the baby a teaspoon of the onion tea every hour until the symptoms subside. </li>
<li>Heal Cuts The film of the onion skin works as an antiseptic and it also stops the bleeding instantly. Try it. </li>
