At home, every year, is where you'll find me and my family spending the Holy Week. To our bunch, it is an important time to spend and focus more on Jesus and family. One of the highlights this year just like the year before is the lunar tetrad, the 8th one since the time of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Four blood moons in two years all falling on Jewish feasts is rare and the third one happens this Passover on Saturday. The next one is on September, on Sukkot, which is still a handful of months away, so we really wanted to see this one. We were a bit hopeful since we had clear skies after sunset on Friday but come Saturday, cloudy was all we got. So we just settled for watching the event online like the other two blood moons last year. Miss Artsy was a bit disappointment though, she was really looking forward to seeing it with her own eyes in the sky. She even wrote it on her journal, there was a schedule, things to prepare (like what to wear outside for the viewing haha) and even tidbits about the lunar eclipse. But what could we do other than just hope to have clear skies on the fourth one, right? So online we went and opened our Bibles. Witnessing the moon turning red while reading about it in scripture is just amazing.
"The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:"

"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;"
- Revelation 6:12 KJV
Hope we see it on Sukkot this year and not through an online feed haha! Giddy with excitement for what will happen next. Greatly anticipating the fulfillment of each prophecy in the scripture for they will all come true, in God's perfect time. :)
We had visitors on Sunday, my in laws who came bearing gifts which included huge bags of fresh Salmon steaks and Tiger prawns, a ton of veggies and a whole lot of fruits. Mr. D and I were like gangbusters in the kitchen. We cleaned, prepped and cooked everything Quickfire style. Dinner was served in less than an hour which surprised even us, thank You Lord.
A verse in the book of Malachi came to mind when our guests finally left that day, an awesome day of fellowship we had by the way and the meal itself was great. Our fridge is huge, but it couldn't possibly hold all of the food that was left over. No room! Praising God was all we could do in the end haha.
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Another wonderful Easter fell upon our family this year like every other, which ultimately reminded us yet again of how great God's love is for everyone. How Jesus paid for a debt we couldn't possibly pay ourselves. A reminder that God is faithful and keeps His promises.
