The traffic in Metro Manila isn't going to get better anytime soon, the government is working on it but an instant fix just isn't possible for a problem this serious and of this scale. Car owners like us have to deal with getting stuck in the road for hours, which wastes valuable time and gas in the process. In my personal experience, we usually find ourselves allocating at least 2-3 hours for what was supposed to be a 45-minute drive nowadays, just to make sure that we're not late for an appointment. Navigating through roads while trying to avoid areas with heavy traffic and collisions with hot-headed drivers is already a huge ordeal, we're talking about Metro Manila roads here, so... And when you finally arrive at your destination, lo and behold, fighting for a parking space is what you're up against next. It's a war zone out there.
It's not that big a deal to waste more time and gas in the act of looking for a slot to park in, but what if you're going to an important business meeting or an interview where time is gold? What if you find yourself in a time crunch and can't afford to chance a space being freed up in let's say the next 10 minutes? I always find myself thinking about the what ifs that could arise when you really don't have time to spare for more driving and waiting around just for a parking space to be available most especially in the business sector and malls.

With DIBZ we can now pre-pay, locate, reserve and rent a parking space easily on our smartphones. People with spare or free parking slots (unfortunately, I'm not one of them) can also use this mobile application to rent it out to those who are in need of space to park their car in. Isn't that neat?
I honestly haven't tried the app itself since I don't go out that much, but there's an upcoming trip we've been planning to do for quite some time now which involves going around in the metro.
