(L to R) The Laz Mark winners strike a pose with Astrid Puspitasari (Lazada Indonesia's PR Lead), Florian Holm (Lazada Indonesia's Co-CEO), Jio Zorrilla (Lazada Philippines' PR Lead) and Andri Parulian (Lazada Indonesia's PR Manager) after an insightful e-Commerce workshop held in Lazada Headquarters, Indonesia
Lazada just built a brighter future for the local e-Commerce industry. Through the first intercollegiate e-Marketing seminar and competition dubbed as The Laz Mark, students from various Philippine universities were sent to Indonesia for an e-Commerce workshop and cultural tour last January 12 – 13, 2018.

Winners Renzo Lim from the University of the Philippines, Faustine Lim from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Jonah Ambata and Arianne Canoy both from the University of Asia and the Pacific and Michaella Maliwat from the University of Santo Tomas were chosen because of their potential and entrepreneurial spirit they displayed in order to help grow e-Commerce in the country.

Lazada Indonesia Co-CEO, Florian Holm welcomed the budding e-Marketers to the Lazada headquarters before the workshop began. "Lazada is committed to growing e-Commerce in Southeast Asia, and The Laz Mark is proof that we are in it for the long haul."

The goal of the workshop was to educate the students about e-Commerce in the Indonesian market by allowing different Lazada Indonesia heads from marketing, merchandising and seller acquisition to conduct a discussion about their specializations and share an overview of how each of their functions contribute in making Lazada the leading online shopping and selling destination in Southeast Asia. The workshop ended with an awarding of certificates and a tour of the Lazada headquarters, to the students delight.

The following day, the students were immersed in Jakarta’s rich history. They learned and appreciated how religion, the arts, culture and government shaped what Indonesia is today by visiting key areas such as the National Monument, Istiqlal Great Mosque and Fatahillah Square among others.

Following the success of the first batch of The Laz Mark, Lazada is set to hold the seminar and competition again in time for its birthday sale this coming April.
