Here's the list of nationwide regular and special non-working holidays released by Malacanang for 2017. You guys, like us, should 
definitely take note of this important dates, there's a total of seventeen holidays. It'll help us all with 
planning ahead. I've written them down on one of my planners already!</div>

The proclamation said the holidays for the observance of Eidul Fitr and 
Eidul Adha will be issued later in accordance with the Islamic calendar.<br />

<br />It added that the Department of Labor and Employment will promulgate the implementing guidelines of the proclamation.</div>

Employees who work on holidays are paid  more than the overtime rate 
on regular days (regular hourly rate + 25 percent of regular hourly 
rate).<br />
<br />
However, the difference in the categories' definitions is 
reflected in their separate pay rates. Those who work on regular 
holidays are paid at least 200 percent of the sum of their daily rate 
and cost of living allowance.<br />
<br />
On the other hand, employees who 
work on special non-working days are paid at least 130 percent of the 
sum of their daily rate and cost of living allowance.</div>
