Ruru Madrid Turns 19 | Honey Glaze Cakes

José Ezekiel Misa Madrid, or Ruru as most of us know him, is among the most promising Filipino teen actors to date, who rose to fame in Protégé: The Battle For The Big Artista Break in 2012. He is also half of one of the best love teams (in my honest opinion) of the Kapuso Network GMA 7, GabRu! Currently, he is a mainstay in Sunday Pinasaya and plays the role of Ybrarro/Prinsipe Ybrahim in the reboot of the fantaserye hit, Encantadia.

Talented Ruru has already scored major accolades in his showbiz career, he bagged the award for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance by an Actor at the 5th Golden Screen TV Awards in 2014 for his role as Charlie in Dormitoryo.  Took home the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award at the 61st FAMAS Awards and the Best New Male TV Personality for his role in Maynila: "Faith in Love" episode at the 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television both in 2013. You can also see him in various magazine covers and is part of the prestigious Bench family. He is indeed an actor to watch out for!

His character Erick in Let The Love Begin where he starred opposite Gabbi Garcia really showed the pair's, GabRu, wonderful chemistry on cam. No wonder they got the roles as Ybarro and Alena in Encantadia 2016 which I am closely watching mainly because of their love story in the serye. It might not be looking good for them right now, but I am hoping they end up together in the end. I do love Ruru's role and acting skills when it comes to portraying a prince and warrior.

Ruru just turned 19 last December 4. I didn't know that he was that young! Just a year older than his best friend in the industry Gabbi Garcia who also celebrated her birthday on the same month!
