Heads up motorists! Today, September 1, the odd-even traffic scheme will take effect in some streets in Pasig City.
The affected streets include:
- Elisco Road westbound
- R. Jabson St. nortbound
- Intersection of Elisco Road, M. Concepcion St., and R. Jabson St.
- San Guillermo St. eastbound
- Sandoval Avenue eastbound
Under this scheme, all vehicles with plate numbers ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 are barred from passing through the affected streets during Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Meanwhile, vehicles with plate numbers that end in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 are prohibited from passing through those roads on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Affected motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
Prior to this, Pasig City has been implementing the MMDA’s Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) also known as the ‘number coding’ scheme, with window hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The UVVRP is a traffic decongestion measure which bans both private and public utility vehicles from plying Metro Manila’s roads on weekday peak hours.
