A fairly new ice cream shop opened its doors to the public only a few
months back but is already paving its way into the hearts of the people of the South. Coolato Gelato
is slowly becoming one of the hot spots to hang out to get your
delectably yummy ice cream fix. Located at SM BF Paranaque, beside the
cinemas none the less, one just can't help but
notice Coolato and its charming interiors with the cozy couches and chalkboards.
Coolato Gelato
offers 13 flavors and 14 toppings which gives us a whopping 182
different combinations to choose from. Regular flavors like Chocolate
Dream, Sea Salt Caramel Ripple, and Cookie Crunch Crumble is for the
kids and kids at heart who love to stick with the classic flavors. They
also offer Oreos and Cream, Strawberry Made in
Heaven, Mango Madness, Coffee Explosion, Cookie Monster,
Macchiato Madness, Black Forest Forever, Banoffee Pie, Almond Divinity,
and
the still trending Matcha Green Tea. You can jazz up these flavors by
mixing in marshmallows,
caramel popcorn, crushed Biscoff, choco pretzels, choco flakes, choco
covered
raisins, chocolate chips, Oreos, fresh mangoes, fresh bananas, banana
chips, cashews, pistachios or even almonds.
Coolato
is a handcrafted artisanal gelato. What this means is that they
literally
make the ice cream in single batches right then and there, in front of
you, rather than prepped ahead of time. Made to order or a la minut as
my culinary friends would say. Coolato even allows their
customers to take a video of how their ice creams are being made. You
can record it and show it to your friends, don’t forget to tag them on

A cup of Coolato
gelato is priced at around Php120 – 150 and the add ons costs Php25
each. The serving size may seem small but their cup is filled to the
brim
and unless you’re a gelato lover like me, you might find yourself having
a hard time finishing it by yourself. Sharing it with a friend can fix
that haha. Try their cheesy beefy nachos and hotdogs to go with your ice
creams too!
